We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Developer Experience (DevX) team, focusing on manual and automated testing for ARCore and XR projects. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience and a strong background in testing AR/VR applications and devices. This is a technical QA role, not a regular web or UI testing position. The QA engineer will work on AR/XR platforms, SDKs, and APIs that other developers and OEMs use to build AR/VR applications. The focus is on platform-level and device-level testing, debugging, and deep issue analysis. Think of this as: QA for developer tools (SDKs & APIs), not just end-user apps.Own the planning, development, and execution of comprehensive test plans and test cases. Conduct manual and automated testing of features across AR/VR applications and hardware. Find, isolate, document, and track bugs through resolution, ensuring high-quality releases. Review user interfaces for functionality and conformity to design standards. Collaborate with test engineering teams to understand technical architecture and feature implementation. Manage and maintain test loaned hardware, including weekly inventory reports. Experience testing mobile and VR/AR devices. Ability to gather test requirements and define quality metrics. Familiarity with test automation tools and script maintenance.
